The elevator is much fun, I ride it up and down.
From the top of the 5th floor and down to the ground.
It takes me where I need to go,
but I'm not exactly sure where.
The buttons are glowing and it beats taking the stairs.
The day that you got on, I forgot all I knew.
Where did you come from? Who are you?
My knees getting weak, I decided to speak,
asked if you lived here; you just looked at me real weird.

Everyday I pass her by.
If I say Hi will she reply?
One thing Einstein did not know,
was how to make me say hello.
Coffee stains and catching trains,
somewhere the plot got rearranged.
I tell myself to take some chances,

Well I quit my job so now I ride the elevator all day.

Now I'm getting desperate cause it's been over a year.
